Chiesa della Natività della Madonna o dell'Opera, Piazza Madonna, Castel del Piano, GR, Italia
Il permesso di costruire la chiesa, originariamente dedicata alla Natività di Maria, fu concessa dal vescovo di Chiusi il 1 gennaio 1490, ma si protrasse nel tempo per alcuni secoli, come dimostra lo stemma mediceo presente in facciata, datato 1630. Nel 1787 ha assunto il ruolo di parrocchiale al posto della chiesa dei SS. Niccolo e Lucia nel centro storico. La facciata fu realizzata solo nel 1870, pur mantenendo forme rinascimentali. All'interno sono presenti interessanti tele seicentesche, alcune opera dei Nasini, famiglia di pittori amiatini che ebbero un certo successo anche a Firenze, Siena e Roma; tra le altre da ricordare un San Cerbone che propizia la vittoria di Tommaso Carboni (1642 circa), opera di Domenico Manetti, figlio del più noto Rutilio, pittore senese di scuola caravaggesca.
